New book by editors of Men’s Health Magazine cites Wild Garden
as healthiest hummus food dip for health-conscious consumers
(Cicero, Illinois) Wild Garden Hummus Dip was named one of the nation’s best food choices for health conscious consumers in a new book “Eat This, Not That” authored by two senior editors at Men’s Health Magazine.
Since it first hit the nation’s food industry five years ago, Wild Garden Hummus Dip has been winning over consumers and retail outlets by showcasing its great taste, health benefits and its unique shelf-stable availability.
Wild Garden Hummus Dip uses all natural products with no man-made preservatives. Unlike other hummus products on the market, Wild Garden Hummus Dip has a natural and authentic Mediterranean taste and does not require refrigeration. Shelf-stable means that it can be stored on shelves for up to 12 months and only requires refrigeration once it is opened.
“The combination of great taste, authenticity and being shelf stable has fueled it’s phenomenal consumer market success,” explained Mark Smith, Wild Garden Hummus Dip Vice President of Sales.
“We have a product that is taking the market by storm and it continues to grow in popularity. The inclusion of Wild Garden Hummus Dip in the new book by Men’s Health Magazine editors David Zinczenko and Matt Goulding is a great honor to us. It also shows Wild Garden’s increasing popularity in the healthy eating trends.”
“Eat This, Not That: The No Diet Weight Loss Solution” is published by Rodale Inc. of New York. The book has received praise from industry leaders including Rachel Ray, Ellen DeGeneres and positive reviews from major media. Wild Garden Hummus Dip’s “Roasted Garlic” variety, one of eight produced by the Cicero based Ziyad Brothers Importing parent company, is featured on page 180 in the new book.
In June 2005, Men’s Health Magazine named Wild Garden Hummus Dip one of the top 125 best health focused foods on the market.
Since its launch in 2003, Wild Garden Hummus Dip has risen to one of the country’s most popular choices in the nation’s largest national and regional food retail stores. It is also available as a snack component on United Airlines, Alaska Airlines and soon to be on Delta Airlines.
Wild Garden Hummus Dip comes in both a 13.4 ounce jar and a 1.76 ounce “Tetra Package” (Wild Garden Hummus-to-Go”) which is popular in deli’s and increasingly in schools across the nation.
